The UFCW International Union Discount College Program, helps UFCW members gain access to a broad selection of participating colleges and degree programs spanning from certificates and associate to bachelor’s degrees. The program will also be introducing master’s degrees, providing even more opportunities for participants.
The UFCW has partnered with EBS Union College Benefit and EDVANCE to facilitate members’ selection and admissions process. Each partner offers multiple schools and degree options.
The partners will help members narrow down what school is the best fit for them, evaluate any existing transcripts to determine if earned credits can be applied to their new degree, and offer other support services as members move forward with their education.

Members can complete the online form to be matched with a program that fits their goals, budget and lifestyle. There are no commitments and they are not required to apply or attend any school but submitting the inquiry. Who is eligible for the Program?
UFCW members and their family members can use the Program. Eligible family members include members’ spouses, children, dependents, siblings, parents/in-laws, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
I’m no longer a UFCW member, can I still use the Program?
Unfortunately, the discounted tuition rates are exclusively for UFCW union members and their families.
Can I finish my degree at EGCC?
Yes, although the EGCC is no longer a participating school for our union college benefit, you can still attend the school outside of the program.

UFCW members can take General Equivalency Diploma (GED) classes for free through Essential GED. The GED program offers a customized learning plan to successfully prepare yourself to pass the GED test, regardless of when you last went to school.
